Wrong! A mantra we used 30 years ago to promote the need for presentation skills development is as valid today as it was then: ‘The single most influencing factor in anyone’s career success, is the ability to communicate.’ Presentations, both formal and informal, are the opportunity we have to communicate who we are and what we know; it’s the vehicle to position ourselves and our value. Developing this skill, wherever you fit in an organisation can set you apart. Learning to present is therefore an essential life and career skill, which anyone and everyone should prioritise.
